Jeff obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1989. That fall, Jeff
entered law school at IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law and
earned his Juris Doctor in 1992.
In 1993 Jeff began working as an Assistant State’s
Attorney in DuPage County. As a misdemeanor Assistant Jeff
prosecuted thousands of cases and was the First Chair in
both the DUI and Domestic Battery courtrooms. As a felony
Assistant, Jeff spent most of the time prosecuting sex crimes
in adult and juvenile court for the Domestic Violence/Child
Abuse Unit. Additionally, he was appointed to the Major Crimes
Task Force which assisted DuPage County police departments
with the investigation and prosecution of the counties most
serious crimes.
In 2001, when Jeff left the State’s Attorney’s
office he was a First Chair in a Felony courtroom and had
tried hundreds of felony cases before judges and juries.
In March of 2001, Jeff joined Ekl Williams PLLC as an associate. He continues
to practice criminal law defending clients in traffic, misdemeanor and felony
cases. Jeff concentrates his practice to DuPage, suburban Cook and Kane counties.
